About Us

Hi! We're Marissa and Natalie. We founded The Healthy Motive because, at the end of the day, that is what ultimately motivates us. Health and overall wellness is our number 1 priority. We believe that a life without health, is not being truly lived. This belief stems from our personal experiences. Although our health journeys are different they both led us to where we are now. Read on to find out a bit more about each one of us.

Hi, I'm Natalie and I'm a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. Growing up, I was constantly dealing with allergies, food sensitivities, hormonal and weight issues. It seemed like I had to stay away from everything. All forms of dairy hurt my stomach, I constantly had headaches and there was never a year that I didn't get a cold or flu. Overtime, I had just gotten used to the feeling of always feeling sick.


At the age of 15, I still hadn't received my period yet and my parents were worried. They took me to the doctors and that's when I was put on hormone replacement therapy, something typically reserved for menopausal women, at the age of 16!! Looking back now, I am horrified, but back then I thought this was the right thing to do. In the years following I gained over 30 pounds. I felt like I had lost myself and no matter what I did, I felt like I couldn't shed the weight. I tried numerous diets, IIFYM, heavy protein, Vegan, Vegetarian, etc.

When I finally decided to take my health back and start studying nutrition, I learned how to properly identify and eliminate the foods that were constantly weakening my immune system, causing hormonal imbalances and preventing me from reaching my health goals.


I began listening to my body and intuitively eating. I made some lifestyle changes, identified which foods my body loves (and which ones it didn't) and my health changed drastically. I lost weight, my food sensitivities were diminished and my immune system greatly improved!


Now, I'm passionate about helping others identify how foods are affecting their physical and emotional states. I work with others to help them identify the best foods for them, learn how to intuitively eat and make lasting changes that will improve their overall health and have them feeling their best!



Hi, I'm Marissa and I'm a certified Integrative Health Coach. My health journey started in my teens when I struggled with Anemia and gut imbalances. I was constantly fatigued and daily naps were a normal thing for me. Any bloating or indigestion was written off since I was told that gut problems "run in my family" and it's to be expected.


After a few years of living like that, I was no longer satisfied with  being told "this is just the way it is," so I questioned what I had been taught and decided to dig further. Over the years, I began to educate myself on how our environment has a great impact on our health, from the foods we eat, the type of water we drink, to the lotions we put on our bodies.  Within time, I learned how to heal my Anemia, gut imbalances and implement healthier lifestyle changes so that I could feel my best.


When I no longer dealt with chronic fatigue from being anemic, I felt like a new person! I had way more energy and felt like I had only been a fraction of myself before that. I hadn't realized how much of my life had been hindered by living with this condition until I had healed myself and realized what it felt like to be "normal."

Now, I am passionate about helping others that are tired of feeling tired and rundown. Everyone has the ability to heal themselves if they are equipped with the proper tools, knowledge and guidance to do so. I help clients understand the impact that foods, their environment, their mental health and emotions have on their overall wellbeing. I also help them implement sustainable long term lifestyle changes to help support and optimize their overall mental and physical health. 

You don't have to "just live with it," because that's what you've been told all your life. There is another way of living- one that involves a happier healthier version of you!
